A test that will reinvent your holidays in France

Come rain or shine, Nîmes will be in party mood for the long weekend of November 17 to 19 as the winegrowers of the Costières de Nîmes AOC gather for a taste of hedonism at the Nîmes Toquée festival. Over forty producers will come down from their vineyards to take you on a jaunt through the city, inviting you to quaff their very best cuvées. Three crazy, hazy days, in short, with tastings at every turn and all the sights and sounds of the vineyard. Things will get “meatier”, too, with a number of local restaurants —Les Toquées Tables as they are called — getting in on the act with evening dos and serving up unique combinations of food and wine specially concocted for the occasion. Saturday night will be Nuit Toquée dance night, with those still standing meeting up at noon on Sunday for brunch with a local accent that will soon get you back on your feet. The easiest solution is to buy your pass on the website before you leave… but be warned: you don’t go to the Nîmes Toquée festival if you’re after a bit of relaxation.
