A test that will reinvent your holidays in France

For gourmet connoisseurs who love eating up the miles, Bordeaux has just launched its very own “Urban Wine Trail”, an innovative concept for discovering the capital of south-west France. Except, instead of visiting historical monuments, this unusual trail will introduce you to twenty carefully-selected wine bars. You already know the Route des Vins — well, now you’re going to get to know the wine bar equivalent! Le Flacon, Le Millésime and La Talenquère — not to mention their younger brothers — each has its unique take on wine, and not just wines from the Bordeaux region. Log on directly to the Cirkwi app to get hold of a copy of the trail or download it for free from the Bordeaux Tourism site. Keep it safely in your pocket because you can use it to find your way back to your starting point in case you do a little too much tasting. And one last thing: don’t forget to tell the bar owners that you are doing the tour so they can offer you their special Urban Wine Trail menu.
