Sporting fun in the wine region of Bergerac and Duras | The greatest destinations in the vineyards of France – France’s official wine tourism portal

Hiking trail fans can enjoy the 122 kilometres of the GR®6 trail that crosses the Dordogne with stops at sites including the Château de Monbazillac, or the 115 km of the GR®646 from Périgueux to Sainte-Foy-La-Grande, up to the banks of the Dordogne river.

And there’s certainly plenty to see by mountain bike too! After a 9 km trail through the vineyards of the Côtes de Duras on the Baleyssagues loop, botanical enthusiasts will want to stop at Domaine Hauts de Riquet before cycling the same distance on the Pécharmant loop, complete with info panels that explain the history of this famous vineyard back to its creation in 1254.

Young and old alike will find other activities to enjoy in the vineyard, including a paper trail and riddle game provided by the Tèrra Aventura app!
