A test that will reinvent your holidays in France
The four-star Hostellerie des Clos in the centre of the village of Chablis isn’t just an enjoyable experience for gourmets and connoisseurs. It’s also a veritable home-from-home that serves as the perfect retreat for your aching legs and tired muscles after spending all day exploring every nook and cranny of the Yonne. Noémie and her team, armed with their thick address book, will take the strain out of all the trials and tribulations of your stay in Chablis, whether its visiting the village markets, flying over the vineyards in a hot air balloon, going out on a scooter ride or touring a traditional cellar. And when you get back to the Hostellerie, you can slow the pace right down. Enjoy a bubble bath, sauna or massage before coming down for a drink by the fireplace in the small salon. What’s on the menu for the evening? Take your pick: there’s the hotel’s outstanding gastronomic restaurant overlooking the gardens; or the Bistrot des Grands Crus, serving regional food, is just 50 metres down the road. It’s like we said: nothing’s more than a stone’s throw away.
